Life on the web just got a little bit safer, as Norton has announced an array of new features to its NortonLifeLock platform that will give users more control over their personal information online.

In addition to the new features, Norton is also announcing that its Privacy Monitor Assistant, which was previously only available as a bundle, will now be available to users on its own. This unique service offers specifically tailored assistance in keeping your personal data out of the hands of brokers, so you know you’re extra secure.

These aren’t the only updates we’ve seen from Norton in recent weeks. The company made the bold decision to add cryptocurrency mining to its antivirus platform earlier this month, marking a first in the industry.

What are the new features in NortonLifeLock?

Safe Connections

Thanks to NortonLifeLock, a lot of the heavy lifting of protecting yourself online is done in the background. With this new Kill Switch feature, your device will detect when your VPN is disconnected and immediately disconnect your device from WiFi to keep your location and identity from being exposed, even if only for a second.

Split Tunneling

When it comes to online security, having options is key. Obviously not every measure is necessary for every moment, and being given the choice to enable and disable features easily can really improve security and functionality.

With Split Tunneling, users will be able to encrypt, secure, and anonymize internet traffic at the click of a button. You can have specific apps and traffic go through your VPN, while other functions can be used independently of the secured platform.
