Startup Spotlight: Tech Jobs, Cool Restaurants and Make Money Driving

With the weekend up ahead, if you are thinking of going out to dinner, having a few drinks and grabbing a ride share home, we have some startups you need to know about. Each week, TechCo features tech startups that can help your daily life. This week in Startup Spotlight, we found ones that help on-demand drivers, find you a cool new restaurant your friends love, and more.

Mystro (San Francisco, CA)

safety

If you or someone you know drives for multiple ride share programs or on-demand companies, then Mystro is the answer. Instead of flipping back and forth between platforms, Mystro mashes them all into one location where the user won’t miss their next ride. The company is helping drivers stay focused on the road, earn more money and take more control of their on-demand business. The service does cost a monthly fee of $11.95. The app is currently available on Android with an iOS waiting list.

Etch (New York, NY)

Instead asking for recommendations on Facebook, constantly texting your foodie friend or scrolling through hundreds of reviews on Yelp for good restaurants, just look on Etch. This new restaurant app allows patrons to keep track of the places they love and share their favorites with friends without all the fake reviews. Users can maintain a record of the places they visit, rate and review each location, add friends to get recommendations, find new places to try, collaborate with friends and develop the “Best of” lists, and more. Through the interactive map, you can see your friend’s favorite locations and use the filters to narrow down your preferences. The app is free and available on iOS.

Rezil (Chattanooga, TN)

This social networking and career building platform functions as the LinkedIn for technologists and creatives. Originally Rezli was built to help young gamers turn their passion for gaming into lucrative careers. Since then, the company has expanded to include all creatives looking to build a professional network, find jobs and offers a place for candidates to showcase their work. Fellow “Rezlians”—can create an online portfolio that showcases different forms of work including: blogs, photography, design work, coding samples, videos and more.
