StockUp App Allows You to Easily Find the Best Prices for Your Shopping List

If you're constantly broke phi broke or simply love to save money on good deals (I'm looking at you, couponers), then it's time for you to download StockUp. Launched today, the mobile app gives consumers a tool to easily find the best deals on on groceries, household products, and other everyday goods, simply by searching for an item or scanning a barcode.

It actually takes a lot of effort to make sure that you're maximizing your savings every time you go out to shop for groceries or to replenish some other home essentials. Whether that's looking through multiple sales ads comparing prices or scouring every corner of the world for coupons and buy-one-get-one deals, the amount of time one has to invest is a huge deterrent and sometimes just isn't worth it in the long-run (both with regards to time and the overall financial savings benefits).

abt-save-money-huggiesThrough StockUp, users can simply search products by name or by barcode, then the app shows a listing of nearby stores carrying the item and sorts those stores by price (beginning with current sales or special deals for that item). StockUp also allows you to save certain items on a favorites list, which will enable notifications for when those specific items go on sale.

Price information on the app is provided by users of the StockUp community. After six months in beta, StockUp users have contributed more than 500,000 common grocery and household products available at more than 125,000 stores across the U.S to the app's database. The company incentivizes user participation through a rewards system that allots points for every user contribution; the points can be exchanged for cash rewards.

You can download StockUp now for iPhone or Android. Earlier this month, StockUp raised $4 million from investors, giving the company more opportunities for building and improving the the app's functionality and features.
