Getting a good night’s rest can be hard. Fortunately, Hello, a consumer electronics company, created Sense, a sleep monitor that is one of most advanced and best looking on the market right now. Its design really is something of beauty and the functionality is definitely also a strong point of this device.
Sense is built with state-of-the-art technology, with several sensors inside it to measure different aspects of the room. It also features a microphone, which is useful to measure the level of noise in your surroundings. In the last update, Sense got upgraded with sleep sounds, that help people fall asleep more easily. Now, another major upgrade brought voice recognition to this device.
Communicating with Sense is easier than ever. Setting up an alarm or getting to know one of the room’s parameters, like temperature, can be done using nothing but our voice. Sensors have also been improved, and there is now the possibility to integrate Sense with other smart home devices, such as Philips Hue and Nest Learning Thermostat.

New sensors have also been added to this sleep monitor. Previously it could already measure temperature, humidity, ambient light, proximity and particulate. But now, Sense with Voice features brand new sensors to measure UV light, carbon dioxide (CO2), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), light temperature, and barometric pressure. With all these sensors, it is possible to have an unprecedented insight on a room’s environment.
In addition, the Sense Sleeping Pill, which provides information about the user’s sleeping habits, has also been redesigned. It is now easier to attach it to a pillow, and it is nearly indestructible, with the battery lasting over two years.
