Remote AI Jobs at Google
If you’re looking for a fully remote Google role, we’ve got bad news – they aren’t easy to come by. Google is one of the companies that fully embraced the post-pandemic return to office movement, and as such, work from home jobs are rare.
Most Google roles demand that employees are in the office three days a week, but workers are granted two days remote each week. We’ve picked out some jobs below that are remote eligible. That doesn’t mean that these will be guaranteed fully remote, but rather that Google is willing to make exceptions to their in-office policy.
What this means will depend on the department, the hiring manager, and other factors, but it’s worth shooting your shot if you want to work for the big G. Check out the Google careers portal.

Remote AI Jobs at Apple
Of the tech companies we’ve covered here, Apple is the strictest when it comes to working remotely. Simply put, it isn’t that flexible. You’ll find that most Apple roles demand employees are in the office three days a week, typically Tuesday to Thursday.
It’s been something of a contentious issue, no more so than in 2022, when Apple’s then Head of Machine Learning, Ian Goodfellow, threw in the towel with the company, citing its return to office policy. He said “I believe strongly that more flexibility would have been the best policy for my team.”
So there you go. If the Head of Machine Learning at Apple can’t catch a break and work fully remotely, there’s not much hope for anyone else. In view of this, we’ve listed some roles below that do offer two days a week remote. When it comes to Apple, that’s probably about as good as it’s going to get. See the full list at Apple Careers.
