With winter weather bearing down on the northeast as a blizzard is on it’s way and travelers heading home from the holiday week, we thought it might be a good time to share some of the best iPhone apps to keep tabs on the latest weather.
The Weather Channel Max – – The Weather Channel application offers a comprehensive set of tools to monitor your weather.
Weather Alert USA – – A versatile weather app that provides all of the local NOAA weather essentials plus automatic alerts of significant US weather events such as weather watches, warnings, and advisories.
RadarScope – – A specialized display utility for weather enthusiasts and meteorologists, this app allows you view NEXRAD Level 3 radar data along with Tornado, Severe Thunderstorm, and Flash Flood Warnings issued by the National Weather Service.
AccuWeather Weather App – – Offers all the standard features of a weather application but also offers special lifestyle weather and health forecasts, such as conditions for specific outdoor activities and sports, such as dog walking, lawn mowing, and golfing, etc.
HD 4Cast – – Looking to put your iPhone retina display to good use? Then you might want to give this simple weather application a try with its set of slick weather icons and images.
WeatherBug Elite – – Offers a large network of weather stations. The elite app offers an “ad free” interface.
Fizz Weather – – This app is filled with all the standard weather features. It was also featured by Apple in TV ads.
Umbrella Today? – – Do you need an umbrella today? This simple application helps anwser that question for you. Simplicity at its best.
