Struggling to work out which Kindle model is right for you? There are four models available from Amazon, all of which offer slightly different features:

Amazon Kindle – This is the ‘basic' Kindle. Usually costing $89, you can get one today for $54.99. It's a great little e-book reader, with a front-lit screen, 4-week battery life, and a 6-inch screen. A super choice for a low-cost Kindle.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite – Usually $129, but available today for $79.99, the Paperwhite builds on the standard Kindle and adds a higher resolution screen, an adjustable backlight, more storage, and is also waterproof, making it a great choice for reading by the pool, in the bath, or wherever H2O is. It's Tech.co's top pick for those wanting a Kindle, offering a solid feature list for the price.

Amazon Kindle Oasis – The daddy of the Kindle range, the new Oasis is a pricey proposition. For the money, you get a larger, 7-inch screen, and a warm light for a more natural reading feel. While there's no doubting it's an excellent e-reader, we struggle to justify the price tag over the Paperwhite, although it is a more palatable $184.99 today, an $70 saving. Read our full review of the Kindle Oasis.

Amazon Kindle Kids Edition – While Amazon has had a kid-friendly tablet for a while, it only started offering a Kindle version this year. While it's essentially the standard Kindle with child-specific features, it comes with a two-year guarantee, meaning that if it's broken, Amazon will replace it, no questions asked. We think this makes it a great deal, especially for the reduced price of $64.99. Read our Kindle Kids Edition review.
