What Is Engagedly?

Though its headquarters are in St. Louis, Engagedly is an international operation with offices in London and Australia, as well as an R&D facility located in India. The company sells a cloud-based performance management SaaS that's built to boost employee engagement.

One of the biggest indicators that this is a truly performance-focused software service? There's no sign whatsoever of any compensation or payroll management tools. Performance management is well covered: Reviews, feedback, goals, development plans, performance tracking, skill appraisals, social performance, peer praise, and review cycle tracking are all gathered into one central dashboard. Advanced features include surveys, rewards and recognition tools, and advanced analytics and reporting. A mobile app is available on iOS and Android.

Open up Engagedly's browser-based dashboard, and you'll find a left-hand column listing different features to jump to (including Feedback, Goals, Performance, Settings, and Support), while a leaderboard lists the top-performing employees on the right. It's a unified location that allows you to reach any tool available through the service with a couple clicks.

Read on for our review, which covers the key features, support options, and all available details about Engagedly's pricing and plans, before summing everything up into our final verdict on this performance management software.

Engagedly Features

Arguably the most important aspect to consider before purchasing a performance management software, a good feature set can make a huge difference depending on your business. Take a look at some of the core features found in Engagdly below.

Performance Review Cycle

Engagedly offers customizable review templates that include rating scales, leadership mapping, and other abilities. A review cycle can be established to make sure the company's employees all turn in their reviews at a regular, easy-to-track pace. Once the review is submitted and signed-off on, managers can add their post-review feedback and training recommendations based on the data.

Analytics within the performance management cycle can allow team leads to identify standout performers, or measure overall employee engagement against the previous review cycle. Throughout the process, notifications and alerts will keep everyone on track.

Multi-rater Feedback

Engagedly has a 360-degree feedback module, Multirater, which allows employees to give each other honest and accurate peer-to-peer feedback at any time.

Two specific tweaks stand out, and make the module a more effective feedback collector than most. First, users can nominate other users for their specific feedback, allowing more opportunities for connections to be made. Second, users can decide whether to give anonymous or open feedback, for more flexibility. Ideally, team members will boost their self-awareness while bonding with each other more.

Goals & Objectives

Users can set goals and key results for themselves or for those under their stewardship, and set up a custom check-in timeline with progress indicators. A dropdown menu in the goals module highlights “My Dashboard,” which features the user's goals; “Team Dashboard,” which features public stats for team members; and “Org Dashboard,” which displays the entire organization's goals.

Learning Management

Managers can create their own learning courses within Engagedly, sharing them with the employees who need them most.

With this tool, Engagedly can host an operation's institutional knowledge. It can be used for on-boarding new employees, or reintroducing old employees to basic security protocols. File types for these courses can include PDFs, videos, and quizzes, among others.

Engagedly Plans and Pricing

Engagedly does not list its plans or prices publicly, most likely because the value of its flexible plans will vary depending on the number and type of features needed. Most companies can expect to pay $5/user/month for its basic Performance Management package, and $6/user/month for a package that includes advanced features such as rewards programs and survey building tools. Engagedly may also offer volume discounts to larger companies.

Engagedly recommends its service to businesses with between 100 and 10,000 employees. Engagedly might choose to set a minimum monthly price for its services of between $100 and $200, which may mean its system is not cost-effective for operations smaller than around 26 employees.

A free demo is available, though a free trial is not offered.

Engagedly Alternatives

While Engagedly is certainly a great performance management software option, particularly if you're looking for real-time feedback features, it's not the only provider out there. From payroll software to compensation and performance management systems, the market is filled with a wide range of other great options to choose from.

Below, we've collected some of the best, so you don't have to do all that research. Take a look at some these excellent performance management brands and choose for yourself which one is best for you. Quick note though, we think that Workday is the best.
