Freelancer, full-timer, contractor, entrepreneur, or even funemployed – they all have one thing in common: the need for a place to get work done. From Arlington, Virginia to Portland, Oregon, professionals and entrepreneurs camp out in coffee shops, coworking spaces, typical offices, train cars, or at home – all in an effort to find the best environment to stay motivated and focused on completing goals. In most cases, coffee shops are factories for distraction, and working at home is only great if you have a separate work space.
While I was living in Northern Virginia, crossing the river into DC didn’t always make sense. Coworking spaces like Cove made it easy, even if just for a few hours at the time, to get out of my home office and get some work done. Occasionally all it took was a change in scenery, avoiding the metro for a day, and I’d be back in action. For those of you in a similar position, here are eight coworking options in the Arlington, Virginia area.
If all else fails just head on over to Northside Social Coffee & Wine on Wilson Boulevard. It was my favorite go-to meeting place when wanting to avoid the metro.
