Imagine a camera that learns to automatically capture little moments so you can just go on living. At the Made by Google event the company released a surprise for parents of pets and kids: Google Clips. Clips is a new hands-free camera that helps you capture spontaneous smiles, first steps, or puppy tricks.
The difference between this the Google Clip and your phone is that by the time it takes to grab your device, switch to the camera setting and push the button, the moment has passed. Through artificial intelligence, Google Clips is smart enough to capture motion photos, longer than a GIF, by picking up on expressions, lighting and framing that you want to remember. Over time the gadget will recognize familiar faces (including your dog’s) and begin to capture moments that you may not see or wish you had filmed. Luckily, it gets smarter over time.
Through the app, users can share, create movies or albums, and more. With Pixel, you’ll also get free, unlimited original-quality storage for photos and clips.
