We can all agree that you can find some weirdos on Tinder! Wouldn’t it be nice to swipe right without the fear that the person may be a creep/crazy/sociopath? That’s what Hinge app offers for people looking to meet people.

Hinge is a social discovery app that helps you meet new people through friends, and it’s launching in Miami, Tampa, and Orlando today. As a Hinge user you receive up to 20 potential connections daily, curated from your extended Facebook network.  And, you don’t need to swipe left or right because when you like someone, Hinge makes a warm introduction for you. It’s a bit like going to a party where everyone brought one or two single friends.

“More people have signed-up to be notified about Hinge coming to Florida than in any other market,” said Karen Fein, Hinge’s Director of Marketing. “Further, after surveying Floridians to better understand the dating scene, we learned that 93% of them would prefer to meet someone new through friends.”

The New York-based company has experienced tremendous user growth, recently hitting 6M matches, and seeing saturation among young professional friend groups, with the average user having 36 friends on Hinge. They’ve launched in cities like San Francisco, Boston, and Chicago.
