One Month Announces Startup Bootcamp Competition

There is a startup that exists solely with the mission of arming entrepreneurs with the right education for success. One Month, the first-ever online school for entrepreneurs, provides their students with all of the knowledge needed to start a business in as little as…one month (see what they did there?).

On November 30th, One Month announced a challenge for their students – a Startup Bootcamp Competition. Students who start the next class on 1/15 will be entered in a competition that culminates at the end of the 30-day class. One participating entrepreneur will be awarded $10,000 in cash for having the best performing startup.

“We see among our students that often people with good ideas get overwhelmed by the blocking and tackling needed to get their companies off the ground,” said Mattan Griffel One Month cofounder and CEO in a statement. “One Month Startup is designed to help entrepreneurs quickly progress through the initial steps and prove out their concept so they can get to the important part – growing their business.”

One Month Startup participants pay $499 for access to the 30-day course, and will also receive a one-year unlimited subscription to the award-winning One Month entrepreneur learning platform (normally $990). The platform offers 10+ additional online classes on tech and business including One Month Rails, One Month iOS and One Month Growth Hacking.

Among the judges for the bootcamp competition is Kevin Hale, Partner at Y Combinator.

“Tech innovation moves at blinding speed,” said Hale in a statement. “The concept of a 30-day startup is brilliant – it’s like the Amazing Startup Race. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the students come up with.”

The video-based One Month courses are designed to help students complete tangible projects – such as building an app – and include online access to highly experienced teachers. One Month claims to have a completion rate that is 4x the industry average, and more than 25,000 people have taken its courses.

This current course/competition is currently sold out but another one will be available soon. We will be sure to update you on the winner.
