The fact of the matter is that PayPal has proven to be an easy, secure, and fast way to transfer money. And, PayPal is also embracing the future by acquiring services like Braintree and the peer-to-peer payment app, Venmo.

That’s not to say that PayPal is perfect. There have been stories of PayPal freezing accounts and charging unfavorable fees for transactions. Also, the platform may not always fit the demands and needs of individuals, entrepreneurs, and business owners. They also have had problems internationally.

Whether you’re not a fan or looking for a payment system that works best for you, I’ve compiled the following list of 15 alternatives to PayPal that you should start using.

Due

Due is another newcomer to the world of payments. Now you can send money to anyone in the world at the flick of your thumb for little to no cost. Most transactions are free. It’s been one of the best business 2 business payments and peer 2 peer platforms on the market. They are changing up how payments are made online at a flat $2.70 rate with no hidden fees.

Due is free as long as you have an account.

Dwolla

Dwolla is a secure, real-time payment processing alternative that offers much of the same features as PayPal. What makes Dwolla interesting, however, is that if both parties have an account they can send and receive payments by name, phone number, email address, or even social media IDs and handles with amazing security.

Dwolla is free to join, but transactions more than $10 will have a $0.25 fee.

Payoneer

Payza
