The Top 20 Angel Investors Ranked

Accelerator 500 Startups recently released a ranking of the top 20 angel investors, compiled by CB Insights. Over 2,000 angels were analyzed based on their network strength, the rate of follow-on investment, exits, their brand, and more.

Here is the extremely male-heavy list:

Naval Ravikant, cofounder of AngelList, made over 75 investments from 2009-2013 and scored high in many categories. Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian had the best network, with follow-on investments coming most often from New Enterprise Associates, Google Ventures, and First Round Capital. Saba Software founder Bobby Yazdani had the highest follow-on rate (80%). 

Among the top 20’s investments, the most popular industries were Internet, mobile, and ecommerce, and the most popular locations were Silicon Valley, New York, and Southern California. Read more here.
