Last night, Switchup released a list of the top coding bootcamps around the world in 2014.
The list takes into account factors like reviews on the Switchup platform, price, location, and job support. You’ll also find helpful information there on how to choose the best coding bootcamp for you. (Switchup provides resources for people who want to start a career in tech.)
As Switchup explains, coding bootcamps became popular in 2011-2012 and now there are over 100 around the world. These 2- to 3-month programs teach programming in an intense, immersive style, often demanding as much as 10 hours of work per day. The average bootcamp charges about $10,000 – much less than a college education, but still a big chunk of change.
Switchup listed the coding bootcamps in alphabetical order, claiming that it’s incredibly difficult to provide an objective ranking. I’ve arranged them below by rating (and within each rating, by most number of reviews). General Assembly is the outlier, bringing up the rear with a rating of 3.5/5.
