AnyDesk Pricing: How Much Does AnyDesk Cost?

Check out our thorough pricing guide for AnyDesk, the affordable remote access software, to find out just how much it costs.
Conor Cawley June 9th 2021 1:10 pm

With plans starting from as little as $9.90 per month, AnyDesk represents one of the more affordable options in the remote access software industry. We'll take a look at some of the specific pricing plans available to you, and whether the premium plans are worth the additional cost.

It's hard to dispute the value of remote access software at this point in history. Companies around the world are adapting to the global pandemic by allowing employees to work from home in droves. Unfortunately, the security risks of remote work are well-documented, which means you're going to need a way to give your employees access to your business without risking a security breach.

If AnyDesk sounds right for you, you can get started right now with a free trial. If you want more information, read on as we explain the packages, pricing and features in more detail.

AnyDesk Pricing Plans

AnyDesk offers three different pricing plans: Essential, Performance, and Enterprise. The Lite plan will cost you $9.90 per month, the Performance plan will cost you $19.90 per month, and the Enterprise plan does not offer public pricing. Each plan offers a wide range of core features, including remote printing, file transfer, and an on-screen whiteboard.

Additionally, AnyDesk offers a 14-day free trial for the Professional plan, so you can get a feel for the more advanced features in the software without incurring any costs. Take a look at a comparison of the three plans below to get a general idea of what each plan offers.

AnyDesk Essentials

AnyDesk Essentials is the most affordable plan available, costing $9.90 per month. This plan is for one device and one session at a time, so if you need a more robust option, you're going to have to pay a bit more.

The AnyDesk Essentials plan offers all the basic features, such as remote printing, file transfer, auto-discovery, and of course, remote access. Like every plan, the Essentials plan also includes automatic updates, so you won't be burdened by out-of-date software.

AnyDesk Performance

AnyDesk Performance is the most popular plan available, adding a wide range of features and costing $19.90 per month. This plan is for an unlimited number of devices, but you can still only have one session at a time.

The AnyDesk Performance plan offers all the basic features from above, with additional features including an address book, custom aliases, session logging, and admin features, giving you a little more power over the platform.

AnyDesk Enterprise

AnyDesk Power is the most robust plan available, and does not provide public pricing, as you'll have to contact the sales team for specific quotes. This plan is for unlimited devices and unlimited sessions, making it the most enterprise-focused option for bigger companies in need of a lot of remote access.

The AnyDesk Enterprise plan offers all the basic features found above. In fact, the only substantial upgrade from the Performance plan is that you can have multiple concurrent sessions, so don't expect a big feature upgrade for the added cost. Still, if you need multiple people connected at the same time, the Enterprise plan is the way to go.

AnyDesk Add-Ons

In addition to the three pricing plans available, AnyDesk allows for a few add-ons that can improve your experience. However, they're a bit on the pricey side, so take note.

If you're using the Professional plan, and you wish to add more than one session, you can do so for the price of $129 per session per year. Additionally, if you're using the Power plan and wish to have unlimited concurrent sessions, you can do so for $239 per device per year.

Finally, if you're using the Professional or Power plans, you can take advantage of custom namespaces, allowing administrators to set up their own system of desktop usernames. This will cost $129 for 20 slots.

Is AnyDesk Free?

As we've mentioned, AnyDesk does not offer a free plan. However, you will be able to take advantage of the 14-day free trial for the Performance plan, which will allow you access to more advanced features.

Either way, as a business, any free plan isn't going to be enough to truly handle your remote access software needs, as it's catered specifically for private use. You'll almost always want to opt for a paid plan to ensure security and ease of use.

As you'll likely notice, AnyDesk doesn't offer a lot in the collaboration department outside of document sharing, which is why it's better for small to medium-sized businesses rather than enterprise level companies. Still, AnyDesk gives you a lot of control over your remote access needs – particularly in the Professional and Power plans – making it a great option either way.

AnyDesk Technical Details

Outside of the features and pricing plans, AnyDesk has some technical specifications that may be important to your decision on whether or not to buy. Take a look at the supported devices, deployment options, support times, training availability, and customer type to get a better idea.

  • Devices Supported – Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone, iPad, Linux, FreeBSD, Raspberry Pi, Chrome OS
  • Deployment – Web-Based, Cloud, SaaS
  • Support – Online, Email, Documentation
  • Training – Documentation
  • Customer Type – Individuals and IT Specialists, Small Business, Medium Business, Freelancers

While these may seem like innocuous details for a remote access software, it's imperative that you take a look at these details before you make a purchase – it could be the difference between a functioning software and a dud.

AnyDesk Performance

Without solid performance, a remote access software is more of a burden than a tool. Fortunately, AnyDesk boasts some impressive performance features that will make sure you aren't lagging behind just because you aren't in the office.

From high frame rates (60 fps) to low latency (below 16 milliseconds) with most internet connections, AnyDesk makes working remotely almost as easy as working at your actual work station. Plus, with efficient bandwidth use, you'll be able to perform tasks smoothly with bandwidth as low as 100 kB/sec.

To make AnyDesk even more attractive from a remote access standpoint, the software features Quickstart features, so there's no downloading, registering, or administrative red tape to get through to get it started. Just pop it on and get to work in seconds.

AnyDesk Security

One of the most important aspects of remote access software is how secure it is. After all, if you can't safely access your devices remotely, what's the point? Fortunately, with AnyDesk, you're getting a decidedly secure platform designed to let you in and keep others out.

With multi-layer encryption, powered by banking-standard TLS 1.2 technology and RSA 2048 asymmetric key exchange encryption, you can be sure your information is safe and secure. Plus, AnyDesk provides access restriction functionality, so you can authorize and deauthorize anyone – giving you complete control over your remote access needs.

AnyDesk Alternatives

Granted, AnyDesk isn't for everyone, which is why we've provided a non-comprehensive list of a few alternatives that should get the job done. Take a look at these remote access software providers that can take on AnyDesk.

AnyDesk vs TeamViewer

TeamViewer is a robust platform, perfect for big teams that need to provide remote access to hundreds of employees. It's definitely a bit more expensive than AnyDesk, but offers a lot more features and enterprise-level options, so you can do more at the higher cost. Check out our TeamViewer pricing guide for more information.

AnyDesk FAQs

No it is not. While it used to offer a free plan, AnyDesk now only offers three pricing plans, as well as a 14-day free trial, so you can give it a try before yo buy.

Unfortunately, no – AnyDesk does not offer a free version for commercial use. However, AnyDesk does offer a 14-day free trial, so you can test out the commercial usage features before making a decision to buy for yourself and your business.

AnyDesk has a wide range of security measures in place to make sure you're protected when you remotely access your information. From banking-standard TLS 1.2 technology to RSA 2048 asymmetric key exchange encryption, you'll be protected through and through. Plus, with access restriction capabilities, you can control who is able to use a particular device.

Neither is particularly better than the other, but they do both certainly have their strengths. AnyDesk, for example, is catered more to small and medium-sized businesses given the number of sessions and devices you can use. On the other hand, TeamViewer is geared towards larger companies, given the sheer number of sessions you can use at one time.
