TradingView Is the Social Media of FinTech

Sharing is a part of our culture at this point. Have a good meal? Share it on Instagram! At a fun concert? Share it on Facebook! Found a picture of yourself with floppy puppy ears? Share it on Snapchat! Everything in your life has become the focus of everyone in your life and technology has begun to reflect this cultural shift. And one fintech company is giving you the chance to share your financial prowess with the world.

TradingView is the fintech software that wants to make trading a public affair rather than a private errand. The simple, comprehensive charting tool doesn’t only give you insights that can lead to big financial victories; TradingView provides communal space to view and share trading ideas to better improve the variety and potential of your portfolio.

“The stereotype of a loner trader stowed away in a basement hiding away secrets to success like Smaug in Tolkien’s Hobbit is a thing of the past,” said Stan Bokov, co-founder and COO at TradingView in an interview with Tech.Co. “In reality, and as evidenced in many other industries, it’s the human nature to share, help and be helped in return.”

While sharing culture has taken more of a selfish angle in social media with personal brands and like farms become more and more popular, TradingView wants to create a fintech community of traders and investors that work together to get the best deal on the market. After all, one millions heads are better than one.

“Not even the savviest investors or most brilliant economists can accurately predict the stock market,” said Bokov in the same interview. “But collaboration between traders is creating a better understanding of trading and trends in the markets overall.”

TradingView, like any company, is hoping their platform can change the industry for the better. With a community that is open to helping each other in their financial gains, trading will become something you do in a group rather than in a basement by yourself. After all, finding a job was pretty hard before a certain startup came along.

“The goal is to become the LinkedIn for traders and investors, a place to trust each other, meet new people and share new ideas,” said Bokov.
