1FaceWatch: A Watch Color-Coded to Your Favorite Charity

Today, 1FaceWatch starts raising funds on Indiegogo to bring its charity-supporting watch to the world.

This waterproof watch, made by Mirza Minds, comes in six colors. Each is associated with a different charity:

White: One Day’s Wages – 1 watch feeds 16 children.

Pink: National Breast Cancer Foundation – 14 watches fund 1 mammogram.

Red: Keep a Child Alive – 5 watches fund AIDS treatment for 1 month.

Blue: The Adventure Project – 3 watches fund 1 charcoal-efficient stove in Haiti.

Black: American Cancer Society – 1 watch funds support for 8 cancer patients.

Yellow: Charity Water – 625 watches fund 1 well in Rwanda.

Funders on Indiegogo, where 1FaceWatch is hoping to raise $25,000, get to vote on a seventh color (which goes along with another charity).

According to Mark Moschel of Mirza Minds, the company secured partnerships with the charities. So rather than receiving a percentage of sales, the charities have committed to donate the items above for each sale.

The simplistic watch design also includes a mirrored face, which has symbolic meaning:

“Believing that change originated from within, [creative director Fam Mirza] designed the face of the watch to be a mirror. When you check the time, you see your reflection, your face, looking back within you,” explains Moschel.

1FaceWatch joins a variety of other accessories that support charities, such as TOMS and SOLO Eyewear sunglasses.
