.CO Internet Acquired By Neustar

Today .CO Internet, the popular domain, just announced they have been acquired by Neustar. In a blog post, CEO and co-founder Juan Diego Calle shared the news in saying:

“In our desire to take .CO to the next level, we are confident that now is the perfect time to join forces with Neustar.”

Neustar is a Sterling, Virginia based provider of real-time information and analytics to the communications services, financial services, retail, and media and advertising sectors.

“The acquisition of .CO Internet is a natural fit for us given our successful partnership over the past four years and our domain name expertise,” said Lisa Hook, president and CEO of Neustar. “By combining .CO Internet’s innovative domain marketing capabilities with Neustar’s distribution network and technical resources, we will be able to broaden our registry services and the .co brand worldwide, while creating shareholder value.”

As a .CO partner for the past couple years, we’ve had a front row view of the brand and community that the .CO team has built, and we’re very excited about their future with Neustar. Their focus on building added value for .CO startups has been inspiring as they’ve worked to differentiate themselves in a meaningful way. We look forward to learning and sharing more information as it becomes available.
