You may have been to one of many Tech Cocktail startup events. In 2014, we traveled to more than 30 cities to help local communities bring out and showcase the top startups in each ecosystem. This year, we’ve added a few more ways that startups can get involved in the final Tech.Co Startup of the Year competition at Celebrate 2015.
We’re scouring the globe for the most innovative early stage startups to participate in regional startup competitions. These competitions take place online and through live pitch events held in cities across the U.S., where live audiences and readers pick their favorite startups.
New for 2015: If we don’t have a live pitch event held in your region, you can still compete in an online competition!
Call for Startups: Apply now for Regional Competitions
Check this list for your opportunity to compete in an online competition for your region. Startups must pre-qualify in order to participate in the competition. Qualified startups have received less than $1.5M in outside funding to date, offer an innovative solution, and must be willing to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the finals. Applicants may represent any industry or vertical from anywhere in the world.
A team of Tech.Co editors and startup experts will review all applications and select the most innovative, qualified applicants to showcase in each of the regional competitions, or be eligible for the global online competition.

Applications for all online events are due by Tuesday, August 4 at 5:00 PM EST! Hurry and apply now! If your startup is accepted prior to that date, you will be informed of your acceptance and you will have more time to get ready to motivate your fans to vote for you in the online poll which will be launched on August 6th!
Prizes and First Round of Semifinalists Announced
Prizes will be awarded to winning startups, and some prizes will be offered to competitors chosen by our sponsors. Techstars, one of the top U.S.-based accelerators, has reserved a guaranteed “fast track” in the Techstars application process, including an interview with one of their Managing Directors. CEA offers a prize package of exhibit space and ten free passes to the 2016 International CES show along with travel and accommodations in Las Vegas, Nevada for the show. They are looking for the best ‘consumer electronics’ startup to award this prize. We will announce more prizes for startups as the event nears.
