Shopify Merchants Can Now Accept Crypto.com Pay Transactions

Shopify merchants will be able to accept up to 20 different coins, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin.

Cryptocurrency is becoming more mainstream by the minute, as Shopify merchants can now officially accept Crypto.com Pay transactions in their online stores.

While cryptocurrency is experiencing a serious dip at the moment, the movement remains an important aspect of the business world. More and more businesses have begun accepting cryptocurrency for goods and services, including movie theaters, sports arenas, and coffee shops.

Now, everyday Shopify users can get in on the fun, as the ecommerce website builder has launched Crypto.com payment transactions for all its merchants.

Shopify Enables Merchants to Accept Crypto.com Pay

Announced in a press release this week, Shopify is adding a feature to its ecommerce website builder that will enable merchants to allow Crypto.com Pay transactions on their pages.

“We’re happy to welcome Crypto.com to help Shopify merchants provide an additional fast and convenient way for customers to pay for their online orders,” said John S. Lee, Lead of Blockchain Ecosystem at Shopify. “Our growing blockchain ecosystem demonstrates our commitment to supporting merchants with alternative payment methods on their storefronts, helping to further expand what’s possible in commerce.”

This service is as easy to set up as it is innovative, giving users the ability to accept up to 20 different crypto coins, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu coin, and Cronos.

If you’re interested in getting your online store set up with cryptocurrency payments from Crypto.com, we don’t blame you! The service is being provided with zero transaction fees and only 0.5% settlement fees, which is a solid deal for an ecommerce platform. Even better, the company will waive the settlement fees for the first month of use, as long as you sign up before June 30th, 2022.

Is Shopify a good website builder?

We’ve done some extensive research on website builders at Tech.co, and we’ve found that Shopify is one of your best options when it comes to building an online store. It provides some serious ecommerce features, as well as inventory management and robust analytics to keep track of your products.

It is worth noting that Shopify is really more geared towards larger businesses. Smaller businesses looking to get set up with an ecommerce website builder would probably be a bit happier with the likes of Wix or Squarespace, as the setup process and overall functionality is a bit less intimidating.

Still, by adding Crypto.com Pay to its platform, Shopify has really positioned itself as an ecommerce website builder that is perfect for scalability. So if you think your business is going to grow, or if it just wants to accept cryptocurrency in the future, Shopify is the clear pick.
