Net2Phone Key Features
Now that we’ve got some of the basics about Net2Phone down, it’s time to get a bit more specific about what the VoIP provider can offer in terms of features that can benefit your business.
Here are some of the key features available from Net2Phone, along with screenshots of their functionality in action.
Intuitive VoIP interface
As you can tell from the screenshot below, Net2Phone isn’t all that complicated to navigate. In fact, the system offers a decidedly simple and intuitive interface that allows users to easily find what they’re looking for, add what they need to, and go on with their business.
Even better, because the Net2Phone is so simple, the home dashboard is able to house a large chunk of the system functionality on that singular page, while getting a clear picture of how your team and communication needs are set up.
Call management features
A key benefit of working with Net2Phone is the number of call management features available. Across the Essentials, Professional, and Enterprise plans, users will have access to a virtual receptionist that offers a customisable greeting and call routing option.
Likewise, all plans include normal voicemail and voicemail transcript options, call screening, call forwarding, and call flip options. If that isn’t enough, you’ll also have the ability to ring groups and customise both your hold music and call routing.
Although you’ll have to be wary that many features, including call queues and access to localised and toll-free numbers, are only available as add-ons across all pricing tiers. If your business is looking for these call management features at no extra price, we would recommend Dialpad or Zoom Phone.

Team communication
Net2Phone is a VoIP phone system for more than just your external communication needs. The platform also offers a wide range of internal team communication tools that can help your team stay in touch, even if you have a large remote workforce.
For one, Net2Phone offers a built-in team messaging that allows you to stay in touch with your team during your work day. On top of that, there is a built-in video conferencing platform, so you can conduct video meetings with your team to stay on top of important business.
It’s worth noting, however, that both of these features are quite limited in the Essentials plan, with only 1-to-1 messaging allowed. Similarly, video conferences may only include up to 10 participants and have a 50-minute time limit.

AI features
It’s 2025, which means that almost any business software you look into is going to have some kind of AI features, and Net2Phone is no different. With this VoIP solution, you’ll find a bevy of AI-powered tools that can help you streamline operations and improve productivity for your team. Here are some of the AI features available with Net2Phone:
- Call summary – you’ll get automated summaries of your calls, as well as clear next-step suggestions and reminders to follow up when necessary.
- Follow-up emails – you’ll be able to automatically send follow-up emails that are generated by AI, based on your most recent call.
- Call transcription – you’ll get full transcriptions of all your calls, fully powered by AI services.
It is worth noting that all of these AI features are only included in the Professional plan, which costs at least $24.99 per user, per month. If you want access to these features in the Essentials plan, you can pay for them as an add-on service. Other AI features available as add-ons include AI coaching notes and advanced call analytics.

Net2Phone Pricing
Before we get started, it’s worth noting that Net2Phone pricing depends on how many users you have. Yes, it does subscribe to the “per user, per month” model that most VoIP pricing follows, but the monthly price also goes down the more users you have on the system.
The Essentials plan, for example, costs $27.99 per user, per month when you have up to nine users, but goes to only $21.99 per user, per month with 10-24 users, and gets as low as $19.99 per user, per month when you have between 25 and 99 users.
For more advanced functionality, the Professional plan will cost you $34.99 per user, per month when you have up to nine users, but goes to only $26.99 per user, per month with 10-24 users, and gets as low as $24.99 per user, per month when you have between 25 and 99 users.
Anything beyond 100 users, you’ll need to contact Net2Phone to get started. There’s also the Enterprise plan, although there is no publicly available pricing, so you’ll also have to contact Net2Phone to get that information.

Who Is Net2Phone Best For?
Given that it offers a range of communication methods including team messaging, video and call conferencing, SMS and E-fax, our research shows that Net2Phone is definitely an ideal VoIP solution for businesses who want multiple channels of communication across one platform. Likewise, it can be considered an excellent choice for businesses looking for a wide array of call management features.
One of the biggest hits against Net2Phone is that it doesn’t offer a wide variety of third-party integrations. However, the options available are quite common, including Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar, Slack, Salesforce, Zoho, and Zapier. Keep in mind, though, that the only available integration Essentials plan users get for free is Google Calendar. If you’re a business that uses these platforms and, importantly, not many others, Net2Phone could be the hub you need for your business.
Similarly, our research team found that compared to competitors, Net2Phone is expensive across all its pricing tiers. Its pricing structure includes add-on fees for features such as integrations and call queuing, where software such as Zoom Phone has a lot of these integrations and call management features included in its lower-tier options. So, businesses looking for a cheap VoIP should be advised that there are better options out there.
We would likewise not recommend Net2Phone for businesses looking to train new employees on the phone, as important features such as call monitoring, call barging, and call whispering are not available on any pricing tier.
What's New in Net2Phone?
April 2025: Net2Phone has recently rolled out an Advanced AI Agent, which can provide assistance for businesses across a range of tasks, including handling routine customer interactions such as answering calls and inquiries, and helping solve sales, suppor,t and staffing challenges such as optimizing staffing levels.

We take our hands-on testing and impartial analysis seriously, so you can have complete confidence that we're giving you the clearest, most useful recommendations.
After conducting an initial exploration to identify the most relevant, popular, and established business phone platforms on the market, we selected 10 top VoIP systems and took a deeper dive into their plans to find out more about the features and functionality on offer.
Based on years of market research, product testing, and user needs analysis, we've established a VoIP system research methodology that scores each product in eight core categories of investigation, which are broken down into 44 further subcategories. With this framework, we cover everything from internal communication tools and security options to niche training features, and it ensures we can accurately assess each product's value for its price and suitability for different types of businesses.
Our main research categories for VoIP phone systems are:
- Call management features - The presence and quality of call handling features including basic features such as call forwarding, and voicemail, as well as more advanced features like auto-attendant, and interactive voice response (IVR).
- Communication channels - Features designed to support communication other than calling, including integrations with websites and social media platforms.
- Training features - The presence and quality of features designed to support onboarding and training, like call barge, call whisper, and performance dashboards.
- Customer support - The assistance and resources provided by the VoIP service provider to customers, including online resources, knowledge bases, and access to customer support representatives and AI chatbots.
- Security options - The measures and features implemented by the VoIP service to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and protection of voice communications and data.
- Pricing factors - The pricing structure associated with the VoIP service, including factors such as monthly subscription fees, domestic and international call rates, setup fees, hardware costs, and extra costs like add-on features or services.
When it comes to calculating a product's final score, not all testing areas are weighted evenly, as we know some aspects matter more to our readers than others, which are merely "nice to have." After hundreds of hours, our process is complete, and the results should ensure you can find the best solution for your needs.

Verdict: IsNet2Phone Worth It?
Net2Phone is a solid VoIP solution with a clear-use case for particular businesses. More specifically, the fact that it offers significant call management features for as low as $24.99 per user, per month is a steal, making it clearly worth it for businesses dealing with a lot of calls. On top of that, it offers a range of communication channels and helpful AI features that can help streamline your business.
The downsides are notable, though, particularly the lack of third-party integrations. It offers a few, but if your business is even remotely complex, or just doesn’t use popular tools such as Slack and Salesforce, you could be out of luck. Plus, while the starting price is low, many valuable features aren’t available in the Essentials plan, so you’ll definitely have to pay more.
All that to say, Net2Phone is great for some and not so great for others, so make sure you understand exactly what you need a VoIP solution for before you make a decision.
