According to Mobihealth News, digital health startups raised over $578.55 million in Q3 of 2017 alone, with companies like AbleTo, Talkspace, Push Doctor, and PatientSafe leading in venture capital dollars raised.
Trends in digital health include behavioral health technologies, online therapeutics, telemedicine and virtual visits, workflow optimization for healthcare professionals, wearables, and patient engagement apps.
A number of venture funds and accelerators are now focused exclusively on health technology. Dreamit Health, for one, has a unique model focused on scaling startups with their extensive network of healthcare customer partners.
