The final days are here! The Microsoft Ventures Digital Work Accelerator program is anticipating all final applications for the program from startups who are looking to change the way we work. The deadline is Friday, January 30. Use this link to apply now!

Who should apply for the Digital Work accelerator?

  • Startups who are solving enterprise-level problems, no matter what the vertical or industry, should apply to the accelerator. This includes adtech, aviation, manufacturing, supply chain, public sector, and social media; solutions might include CRM, HR management, messaging solutions, email solutions, big data, Internet of Things, and anything that increases productivity.
  • Startups who are early-stage or seed-stage, and who are open to relocating at least part of the core team to Seattle during the program.
  • Startups who have a product in private beta, trial, or generating revenue stage.

What do startups get from the Digital Work accelerator?

  • A $25,000 stipend will be provided for housing and travel expenses, in exchange for no equity. Office space will also be provided.
  • Access to Microsoft products and product teams, Microsoft Enterprise expertise, access to the mentor network and the Microsoft partners and Fortune 500 company executives.

What are the dates for the 2015 Seattle program?

  • January 30: Registration Closes
  • February 15: Jury day
  • March 16: Accelerator class starts
  • May 14: Mid-program review
  • July 16: Demo Day

What are the stats from the last class?

  • In December 2014, Microsoft Ventures graduated the first accelerator class
  • 7 out of 10 companies in the cohort raised funding (1 was not looking to raise)
  • The average funding was $725,000
  • 3 companies have distribution partnerships with large retailers to stock and sell their products
  • 6 companies utilized the Microsoft design staff for design sprint needs

Here’s a look at the last class for a better idea of the culture and feel during the accelerator: “Let’s build the company; let’s work.” And if you’re in San Francisco tonight, make sure to join the Microsoft Ventures team as they gather with the community at RocketSpace to share more about the program. It’s a great opportunity to network and find out what the local startups and community leaders are up to!
