We've done the research, so we can confidently say that Wix is better than Zyro when it comes to building a website, because it provides more features, better ecommerce options, and added help and support tools for its users.
That's not to say Zyro isn't without its merits. As easily one of the most affordable options on the market, particularly with this deal from Tech.co, Zyro provides a stripped down version of your average website builder that is perfect for beginners and budget-conscious businesses.
Overall though, you really can't beat Wix. The popular website builder is our top-rated option, providing an unmatched value when you combine all the features and functionality at the reasonable price of only $16 per month ($8 per month for a limited time).
In this guide, we'll compare Zyro and Wix on features, pricing, ease of use, ecommerce functionality, and help and support, so you can fully understand how these two website builders match up against each other.

Zyro vs Wix: Head to Head
To be clear, Wix and Zyro are two very different types of website builders. Wix is a more robust, complete option that can scale with your business and tackle a wide range of website builder needs, while Zyro, on the other hand, is aimed at beginners with a simple interface and low prices. Here are a few basics about how these two website builders match up:
- Wix has more features than Zyro
- Zyro is more affordable than Wix
- Wix is better for ecommerce businesses than Zyro
- Wix offers better help and support than Zyro
To get a better understanding of what these two website builders bring to the table, check out the brief overviews below and don't forgot to check out our Wix review and our Zyro review for more information.
Zyro Overview
Right out of the gate, the best thing Zyro has going for it is affordability. With some of the lowest prices in our research — as long as you take advantage of their frequently discounts — it provides virtually no barrier to usage for lower-budget businesses.
Still, this affordability obviously comes at a cost. While Zyro is cheap, it doesn't offer a lot of the features you need to effectively run a businesses website, particularly when compared to Wix. Zyro certainly covers all the bases with its basic website building features, and throws in a little extra with fun additions like the heatmap, logo maker, and AI writer.
Zyro makes up for this lack of advanced features with some serious ease of use. The drag-and-drop editor makes designing your site extra simple, and it even has a few good looking templates to get you started. Overall, Zyro is a great option for beginners that don't need or want a lot of advanced features, and want the price cut to go with it.

Pros
- Very affordable platform
- Easy to use with simple grid layout
- Advanced features like heatmap and logo maker
- Low cost deal - just $2.79/month (excludes monthly plan)
Cons
- No app store
- Limited marketing features
- Little onboarding help at setup
Wix Overview
If we've said it once, we'll say it again: you can't beat Wix. As our top-rated website builder, Wix provides it all: lots of features, robust help and support options, ecommerce capabilities, and advanced functionality like CRM. Plus with all of that coming at you starting at $16 per month, it's easy to see why Wix is at the top of our list.
It's SEO where Wix really shines though. The platform's revised settings allow businesses to control their SEO data from a single dashboard, making the tool more capable of improving search results. This, in addition to Wix's new partnership with Semrush, helps the provider edge out other builders in this field.
. What's more, the reality is that Wix is easily the best value on this list, for the massive feature catalog at such a low price. Especially for businesses looking to get an ecommerce business off the ground, Wix provides some serious functionality that cannot be understated.

Pros
- Useful SEO best practice prompts
- Friendly onboarding experience
- Advanced business functionality like CRM
- Our top choice of ecommerce platform
Cons
- Can't change site design after publishing
- Slower server response time than some competitors
Best Value: Wix
There's no denying that Zyro offers lower prices than Wix. However, when it comes to exactly what you get for the price, it's hard to argue that Wix doesn't offer more value. For one, its cheapest business plan is only $27 per month and it allows for unlimited products, recurring payments, and customer accounts, all while providing 24/7 support.
Conversely, Zyro doesn't offer nearly as many features as Wix. In fact, the ecommerce features don't unlock for Zyro until the more expensive plans, which start at $24.95 per month, so you'll actually have to pay more for fewer features.
Fortunately, Zyro traditionally has some great deals in place, like this one from Tech.co that gets you the eCommerce plan for only $5.52 per month. Still, it lacks the more advance features of Wix, which is why we nod to the popular website builder when it comes to value.
Zyro Pricing
Zyro offers four different pricing plans: Website, Business, Online Store, and Advanced Store.
The Website plan is pretty basic, and will cost you $8.99 per month — or $2.61 per month with Tech.co. You get unlimited bandwidth and storage, a custom domain (free for a year), blogging tools, and free web hosting. No ecommerce features are included.
The Business plan is where the real value is. You'll get it for $11.49 per month — or $4.41 per month with Tech.co — and you'll still get unlimited bandwidth and unlimited storage while adding more features like analytics and social integrations. This plan also unlocks Zyro's built-in ecommerce features, allowing you to sell up to 100 products on your site, with payments through Stripe. With Business, you'll have to pay a one percent processing fee for each sale — a fee that's dropped for the Online and Advanced Store plans.
Next up is the Online Store plan, which costs $15.90 per month — or $8.01 per month with Tech.co. This plan keeps the core ecommerce features from Business and adds a handful more: You'll get more than 70 other payment options beyond Stripe, shipping and tax management, email notifications, coupons and gift cards, order and inventory management, and support for Facebook Shop and Instagram Store.
Finally, the Advanced Store plan is available at $25.90 per month — or $14.31 per month with Tech.co — and bumps up the number of products up to 2,500. It's also the only plan with abandoned cart recovery, support for selling in multiple languages, product filters, and options to sell on Amazon and eBay.

Wix Pricing
Because Wix provides more advanced features, the pricing situation is a bit more complex as well. Wix offers four Website plans — Combo, Unlimited, Pro, and VIP — and three Business plans — Basic, Unlimited, and VIP.
The Website plans are all aimed at businesses trying to create a website that showcases what they do. While they aren't equipped with ecommerce tools, they can help you create a great website with stunning templates and plenty of features to track your traffic.
The Business plans are likely what you're looking for though. These plans are aimed at selling (unlimited) products, offering tools like customer accounts, abandoned cart recovery, and even drop shipping the more expensive plans. You'll also be able to sell on social channels as well, which can seriously add some revenue power to your business.
Check out the specific pricing of each plan below:

Zyro vs Wix: Which has the best free plan?
This one is easy; Wix has the best free plan compared to Zyro, because Zyro doesn't have a free plan. While the most affordable plan from Zyro is a mere $2.61 per month (with our special deal), there is no free forever plan available from the website builder.
However, Zyro does offer a 30-day money back guarantee, so you can try out the platform without an monetary commitment for a month.
On the other hand, Wix offers a solid free plan that can get you started for no charge. However, if you're a business looking to get recognized, we do not recommend the free plan for a long period of time. It comes with a branded domain, Wix ads throughout your site, no payments, no analytics, and limited storage and bandwidth. Simply put, you're not going to be able to effectively run your business on a free Wix site.
Best for Features: Wix
The number of features available for a website builder can make a big difference. And honestly, the massive feature list is what sets Wix apart from every website builder, which means that it's definitely better than Zyro when it comes to this all-important category.
From the standard website builder features that make getting started and onboarded as easily as possible to the advanced business features like email and social marketing options, you can do a lot with Wix. The popular website builder even offers CRM functionality that can help you attract and retain customers, Wix offers the most features of any website builder we've researched.

Best for Ease of Use: Wix
This one was actually very close. Zyro and Wix both offer some delightful intuitive interfaces that shouldn't be too difficult to handle. They both offer simple, drag-and-drop functionality for web design, so you can easily handle the templates, and you won't be too bogged down by the advanced features no matter how experienced you are.
In our research, we did score Wix higher on ease of use though, because it makes the advanced features that much easier. Obviously Zyro is easy to use, because it's a stripped down version of a website builder at a lower price. But Wix takes on the more complex aspects of website building and still makes it easy enough for you to figure it out. Plus, with good help and support, you'll be able to get help if you need it.
Best for Ecommerce: Wix
This one is a no brainer. While Zyro does offer some ecommerce features in its more expensive plans, the reality is that Wix just brings the power when it comes to ecommerce. Between the ability to sell unlimited products and the advanced features like CRM functionality, Wix just takes the cake on ecommerce from top to bottom.
Zyro is no slouch when it comes to ecommerce though, particularly for the price. For only $24.49 per month — or $6.90 per month with our deal — you'll be able to sell up to 100 products and get features like inventory management, gift cards, and even social selling. Still, we have to give Wix the edge here, simply based on the sheer volume of ecommerce features available.
Best for Help & Support: Wix
Again, as our top-rated website builder, Wix gets the victory when it comes to help and support, and we can mostly chalk that up to being a more established company. The popular website builder provides 24/7 support to all customers in paid plans, and even provides some basic options for its free users. Additionally, this support is top-tier stuff, providing expert advice quickly and effectively, all on top of a knowledge center that is very impressive.
Zyro also provides 24/7 support, but it's just not as robust as the options provided by Wix. You'll only get access to email and live chat with Zyro, and the knowledge center is expansive but not nearly as helpful as Wix. It's worth noting that Wix is second only to Squarespace when it comes to support, so don't count Zyro out just because it loses to the best of the best.

Other Website Builder Alternatives
While Wix is our top-rated website builder, and Zyro is our most popular option for beginners, they're not the only website builders out there. In fact, the market is filled with some of the best website builders out there depending on your needs, you just have to find the right one.
We've done tons of in-depth research to bring you all the information you need to make an informed decision about website builders. Take a look at the table below for a snapshot of your options, and read on for more specifics about our top picks.

Squarespace
If you're looking for a well-designed website, your best bet is going to be Squarespace. It undeniably offers the most beautiful templates that will take your website from drab to fab in no time flat.
Squarespace is nothing to scoff at when it comes to website builders either. In our scoring, it almost exactly matched Wix, with a wide range of features that are relatively easy to use. You'll also get some great social and email marketing features, along with the built-in capability to scale up the platform along with your business.
Check out our Squarespace review for more info

Pros
- Get 10% off with code TECHCO10
- Email and social marketing tools
- Best knowledge center available
- Robust analytics features
- Native SEO keyword support
Cons
- Slower site speed
- No advanced customization options
GoDaddy
Whether you've seen the commercials or just want an easy to build website, GoDaddy is a solid option if none of the others pique your interest. You'll get all the basic features you need to get a website online at a reasonable price, which is always an attractive offer. Plus, it had one of the quickest website building experiences in our research, which can be very helpful for beginners.
GoDaddy is definitely not perfect though. Its limited customization can be a drag on more design-focused companies, and while it provides SEO guidance, the features are pretty basic overall. Still, if you want to get a website up and running as fast as possible, GoDaddy is your go-to website builder.

Pros
- Quick, efficient website building
- "SEO Wizard" tool is super useful for beginners
- Plenty of must-have features built-in
Cons
- Limited customization options
- Website design is quite restrictive
