June is here and with it comes the start of summer. Traffic will be lighter, fireworks will be primed for Independence Day, and countless pool and beach days will try to draw your attention away from the office for a long weekend. To help you get the most out of summer, we’ve identified a few newer summer gadgets and tech to ensure you have fun both outdoors and indoors.

Uuni 3 Portable Wood Fire Oven
You love pizza, your friends love pizza, even this lactose intolerant reporter loves pizza. But why must we settle for iffy delivery or something you pop in the oven when true pizza requires that wood fired flavor. Fortunately there is now a portable wood fire oven, Uuni, that allows you to torch a pizza in 60 seconds and is priced at $300.
FireFly Firework Controller
Independence Day is right around the corner, and if you live in a state where fireworks are legal, you are likely all too familiar with how bright the night’s sky will become. Down here in South Carolina people really love their backyard firework shows, many simply spending an excess amount of money on the largest units consumers can buy. Unfortunately most of those shows still require someone to set them off one-by-one, that is unless they get a firework controller such as Firefly. Priced at $225, the FireFly controller lets you connect up to 15 firework sets, can be timed to go off alongside music, and is remotely controlled through an app.
Kuvée
Thanks to the magic of global warming, some days during the summer are simply too hot to spend outdoors. Fortunately, hot or not, it’s also just another excuse to share a glass of wine with good friends. Kuvée is a smart wine bottle that allows your open bottles to last up to 30 days, aerates the wine, gives you food pairing suggestions, and helps you to pick your next case based on your preferences. Think of this as your Netflix recommended queue, but you can drink the results. Kuvée is tied to a monthly wine subscription plan and it starts at $99 a month with four bottles (and the dispenser).

Living in a coastal city, it’s hard to go anywhere near a river without seeing someone on a paddleboard. DJI Mavic Pro
Drones are no longer for hobbyists, and one of the largest manufactures, DJI, continues to push the boundaries when it comes to portability. Before the Mavic, if you wanted high-quality 4K video and high-res photography you could expect a carryon bag size container at a minimum to cart your drone around. Mavic on the other hand can fit in a small book bag, easily folds up, and its gimble is more protected than that of the Phantom series. The Mavic Pro starts at $1000 and is an incredibly safe bet if you want to get into drone photography.

Snapchat Spectacles
Earlier in the year Snap fully released their Spectacles for everyone to buy. After giving it a try, we thought they were nothing but fun, which means there are few better ways to capture your summer activities than with Spectacles. They are priced at $130 and you can read our review here.
Robomow RX
Nobody likes mowing their lawn in 100 degree heat plus humidity, so get a jumpstart on the robot revolution and automate it instead. Now we can’t promise when Skynet eventually becomes self aware that having a robotic lawnmower will be in your favor, but until then the Robomow RX is small and strong enough to handle most common lawns.
JBL Flip 4
Last year we dubbed the JBL Flip 3 one of the best portable water resistant speakers available, and their newest version only adds to the mix. With great sound, decent bass, and of course durability, this $100 speaker is perfect for going with you on all your summer adventures.

We don’t care how old or young you are, age is never a factor when it comes to NERF.
