Act! CRM Pricing Plans
Act! CRM offers three pricing plans, with an additional self-hosted plan for on-premises functionality. Each plan provides more features than the last, but is also more expensive, so be sure you need more before you commit to the additional cost. Take a look at the pricing plans below and keep scrolling for more in-depth information about each one:
Act! CRM Starter Plan
The Starter plan for Act! CRM costs $12 per user per month, billed annually, and $18 per user per month, billed monthly.
While the price point is naturally attractive, it’s worth noting that this is a considerably basic CRM option, even by Act! CRM’s own admission. In fact, the plan isn’t even available on the main pricing page, as it’s considered a far less robust option compared to the Standard and Expert plans.
More specifically, you’ll be missing out on website visitor tracking, auto-responses in email campaigns, revenue forecast reports, preset reporting dashboards, and phone support. However, you’ll still get unlimited contacts for email campaigns along with reporting functionality, activity management features, and live chat support. All that to say, this plan is great for saving money, but if you’ve a bit more ambitious, the more expensive plans could fit you a bit better.
Act! CRM Standard Plan
The Standard plan for Act! CRM costs $25 per user per month, billed annually, and $35 per user per month, billed monthly.
As is often the case with business software, the mid-tier plan from Act! CRM is the most popular/best value compared to others. The price point is still incredibly competitive in the general CRM market, and it offers full CRM functionality along with some marketing features that will make business that much easier.
More specifically, you get access to more advanced marketing drip campaigns, more robust reporting and analytical tools, and website visitor tracking is available if you opt for the marketing add-on, which costs an additional $199 per month. You still don’t get a lot of customization though, as custom fields and custom dashboards are reserved for the most expensive plan.
Act! CRM Expert Plan
The Expert plan for Act! CRM costs $50 per user per month, billed annually, and $65 per user per month, billed monthly.
In earnest, if you’re opting for more expensive plans like this, Act! CRM probably isn’t where you want to go. There are lots of other options at this price point offering some great features that are easier to use. Still, if you’re all in on Act! CRM, this plan will provide the most features for your business.
The Expert plan from Act! CRM adds a visual sales pipeline, custom fields for contact management, custom dashboards for reporting, A/B testing for email campaigns, and progressive profiling. Compared to other providers though, you don’t get a lot of lead features, or any customer support options, and social media integration is limited to only Facebook and LinkedIn.
Act! CRM Premium Plan (On-Premises)
The Premium plan for Act! CRM costs $37.50 per user per month, billed annually.
This plan is unlike the other plans, in that it is not cloud-based, but rather is an on-premises system that will require upkeep and maintenance on your part. Overall, this plan is a bit more advanced from a technical standpoint, which means you’re going to want to be sure you have a robust IT department to handle it.
From a feature standpoint, this plan offers virtually everything in the Expert plan, which makes it a great value option if you can handle the added maintenance. Still, you do miss out on custom dashboards for reporting and analytics, which could very well be a dealbreaker if you want to keep track of specific metrics for your business.
Does Act! CRM have a free plan?
Unfortunately, Act! CRM does not provide a free plan. However, Act! CRM does offer a 14-day free trial, which will allow you to get a feel for the platform before you make a financial commitment.
There aren’t a lot of CRM providers that offer a free forever plan, and those that do are typically pretty bare bones unless you’re a very small business with few needs from the platform. Still, providers like Hubspot and Zoho CRM do offer them if that’s what you’re interested in.
How does Act! CRM compare to other CRM providers?
Act! CRM is a great value choice for your small business, but it certainly is the only provider out there worth its salt. In fact, the CRM marketing is riddled with great options for small businesses that will provide you the organization and automation features you need to save your business time and money when it really matters.
Below, we’ll show you a few CRM competitors of Act! CRM, so you can make an informed decision about what your business needs in a platform.

Zoho CRM – $14 per user per month

At this price point, you’d think it was missing some key features, but the reality is that Zoho CRM is filled with features for sales, marketing, and customer support. Plus, it offers a notably easy to use platform that is quick on set up and general functionality. Simply put, Zoho CRM is the best CRM for small business.

Arguably the most customizable CRM available today, it allows you to really branch out and organize your business exactly how you want to. However, while the low price may seem attractive, it’s worth noting that you’ll have to have a minimum of three users for the starter plan, so the starting price is actually $24 per month.
Pros

- Simple and modern layout with basic color-coded system
- Custom fields across platform, including customizable dashboards
- Many reports: deals, activity, recurring revenue, and more.

Verdict: Is Act! CRM worth it?
Act! CRM provides an all-in-one sales and marketing solution at an incredibly reasonable price range. Based on these factors, it positions itself as a good competitor in this space. Its email campaign editor is a particular highlight as not many CRM platforms provide this. Secondary to its features and price are the level of customer support provided which is high in comparison to other small business CRMs.
However, we need to be aware of some key downsides. Act! CRM has scored very low for usability owing to a lack of automation capabilities and a long data import process as each user’s data is required to be manually uploaded by a technician from Act! CRM. This is something which ensures data is uploaded correctly but is arguably unnecessary for a majority of users who would rather upload the data themselves and get going faster.
