10 Sweet Gadgets Powered By Verizon Wireless

Verizon has been best known for their coast to coast wireless coverage and fewer dropped calls than competitors. And of course their commercials showing an army of network engineers ensuring they can be heard from anywhere. Did you know that in the first half of this year they will be launching 10 new 4G devices to run on their 4G LTE network, which is
currently available in 38 markets across the country, expanding to 175 markets by the end of 2011 and the entire nation by the end of 2013. According to Verizon their 4G LTE network is:

… the fastest, most advanced 4G LTE network in America, which delivers speeds up to 10x faster than current 3G networks.  Average, real-world data rates are 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink, and 2 to 5 Mbps per second on the uplink.

I've had a difficult time trying to figure out the differences between 3G and 4G, so I like this analogy they gave me:  If Verizon Wireless’ 3G and 4G networks were cars driving on a highway, the 3G car would travel at a fast pace of 100 miles per hour while the 4G car would travel at a super fast pace of 1000 miles per hour, or 10 times the speed of the 3G car. Not bad.

With that network in place, here's a rundown of 10 sweet devices that will leverage the speed of the 4G network in the coming months (numbers correspond to the image above):
