Zappos Pop-Up Shop is First-of-its-Kind Experience Opening this Weekend

In a pairing that represents a shift in the retail world, Zappos has announced the Zappos Pop-Up Shop powered by ShopWithMe. In Downtown Las Vegas, The Western Hotel has once again been transformed by Tony Hsieh, this time to create a shopping experience that’s magical in more ways than one.

“Never leave a store disappointed again.”

Have you ever been in a retail store and wished you could locate something just by finding it in a virtual shopping cart? Zappos is partnering with a new technology called ShopWithMe, from the people behind OrderWithMe, to enable you to combine a virtual and physical shopping cart into one innovative experience. To make the most of this experience, download the iOS app or the Android app.

Like Zappos.com, the Zappos Pop-Up Shop powered by ShopWithMe will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week starting Friday, November 21 until December 31 – with the exception of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Not only will you be able to browse through 20,000 square feet of retail and social space, but the exterior of the Pop-Up Shop is serving up goodies that you could only find in a Winter Wonderland, including an “ice” rink.

According to a press release put out by Zappos, “not only will you be able to buy things, you’ll be able to buy the exact thing you want in the exact color and style you want, regardless if it’s available in the store that day.” The Pop-Up Shop offers 16 different sections catering to a unique fashion taste and style, from Couture to athletics. The experience also offers food, drinks, entertainment, and a family-friendly experience.

Combining Physical and Digital Worlds

Your current shopping experience is limited to what’s in stock at a store, followed by checking online (or vice versa.) But with the Pop-Up Shop, according to Zappos, “This experience allows you to scan an item at a kiosk or on your mobile device and enables you to browse the many colors and sizes that you might not have otherwise known existed. As you move through the store, you’re adding to a shopping cart existing in the physical and virtual world simultaneously. Choose exactly what it is that you want… if we don’t have it in the store that day we’ll ship it to you with the same Fast & Free shipping you’ve come to expect from Zappos.”

“This shopping experience will be one of the first of its kind and the first partnership for both ShopWithMe and Zappos. It’s about bringing the experience of Zappos Customer Service to real location and working together to bring something new to the community.” All 4 of the Zappos Cs: Clothing, Customer Service, Culture, and Community are offered to holiday shoppers at this amazing space in Downtown Las Vegas. The Western Hotel is located at 899 Fremont Street.

ShopWithMe

ShopWithMe seeks to solve the problem of bridging online and physical retail spaces together. ShopWithMe allows retailers to move beyond the inventory challenge, repeating the ethos that OrderWithMe set in place to help retailers manage and leverage their ability to purchase inventory around the world. The PopUp Shop collaboration with Zappos allows the ability to try out this innovative consumer concept within the Downtown Las Vegas Community. ShopWithMe says they hope to make this solution quickly scalable so it can also be shared around the world.

“A ShopWithMe experience is curated by the product experts who are already stocking the shelves but lets the customer find exactly what they want. This is not about trying to convert shoppers from one side or the other, it’s about giving shoppers every opportunity to have a successful shopping experience.”
