    We are a starving startup and I have a massive 17" screen laptop as my only machine. With us drumming up awareness right now, I do a lot of traveling for things like Tech Cocktail SF (where we will be next week) and to talk to investors and clients, etc. Having a lightweight travel machine that runs Win 7 just like my big machine would be AWESOME and make me more productive on the road since I could use it in the cheap airplane seats (I can't open my current laptop unless I am able to shell out for the Econ + seats with more space). It would also save my shoulder and back from lugging around my big laptop. As an older entrepreneur, by body needs all the help it can get. If i win, I promise to put a Small Business Association sticker on the HP Folio and tell everyone how supportive the SBA is of startups.

    As an active student maintaining two internships, one at a new Silicon Valley startup and one in New York City, having a mobile and light weight ultra book is something that would be vital to the companies I am working for. For the small business startup, I always need to be online promoting and updating blogs and the website to spread the word. The great thing about the startup is that it helps new venture creations as well, so I feel good helping out new companies get publicity and advertise in unique venues. When traveling to my local internship, the commute is a daily struggle of almost 45 minutes and the fact that I do not even own a laptop at the time makes me completely dependent on my iphone for the commute. A powerful desktop PC is nice but this laptop would vastly increase my productivity which would benefits the startup company I intern for and also add versatility to the investment firm I work at. This laptop will be taken care of with the utmost attention and I know when my startup is initiated, this reliable, powerful, and sleek laptop will still be used! If I win the laptop, it will feel great that a driven and busy college student will benefit and it can outreach to new startups as well.

    I am a professional videographer and photographer for a hip hop dance media channel called Strife.tv (www.strife.tv). The hip hop dance scene is growing in popularity, and it involves a lot of international travel, and work to and from events. The computer I currently own is 4 years old, and I am in need of a new laptop that can help with some of the workload. Apart from multimedia work, I need a light, portable laptop that allows me to regularly communicate with my thousands of viewers.

    If I receive the HP laptop, we will make a fantastic shoutout to Tech Cocktail in one of our video vlogs!

    I would use this computer to help keep my life in order! There are several different things I would use it for. My husband is a plumbing contractor who owns his own business. I use Quickbooks daily to keep up with all his jobs/invoices/customers/employees/bills/etc. I also have a miniature dachshund breeding business and there is a lot of paperwork that goes along with them, including registrations, health records, etc. I blog at http://www.breakfast-with-tiffany.com 2-3x a week doing projects and reviews. I would love to have this HP Folio and upgrade to Windows 7. I can imagine the speed and the awesome monitor. : )

    This HP Folio 1h3 with Windows 7 Professional would be the perfect system from which to run my small Quickbooks accounting business. It's powerful enough to handle my business and personal computing needs and its portability would be so very convenient in my day to day movements.

    Photography has become so much more of a real-time business. The HP Folio with Windows 7 would enable me to have a portfolio presence on-site, making it easier for customers to get any idea of potential photo purchases. Never before has it been possible for photographers to unchain themselves from the desktop computers…

    We would use this new HP Folio with Windows 7 to equip the programmer who is developing our new product which will mask critical network devices from being mapped and exploited by cyber attackers. We are early stage and recently closed a seed round.

    I'm a bootstrapping my startup mornings, lunch and nights & weekends. This sleek laptop would be great to take to lunch when I start hacking at the local eateries.

    @givby

    I would use it as a promotional prize for the launch of http://givby.com

    Okay, call me a "regifter" — I'm okay with that. You should be too. It means your great product will again be the center of attention for another exciting promotion. More people learning about it, more people desiring it. The gift that keeps on giving.

    I know a lot about the "social engineering" of how to make a great contest. With the value of your product as the prize, together we can make another big slash!

    This HP Folio Laptop with Windows 7 Professional would be just the thing we need to streamline our Notary service. We partner with Title Companies in the Southeast to assist their customers with closing documents and Notarizing hundreds of pages of the closing packages. With a new printer this new HP Laptop could help cut our time as we download and print these documents. We are a husband wife team, semi-retired who started this business to supplement our retirement. We are committed to continuing education and training in technology as we work very hard to keep up and try our best to be proficient as possible in computer skills. The changes we have seen in our lifetime are truly mind boggling. The addition of this laptop could really help us stay up on the latest innovations.

    I would love to have this computer to help run my plumbing business. I would use it for invoicing, job pricing, employees, taxes, etc. I would also use it to help with advertising and looking for more business. I love the fact that it has Windows 7 and a lot of upgrades that I desperately need from my old desktop.

    We're a small pre-launch, travel industry related startup going live next month. As a group of developers and designers, we all have behemoth developer-grade Windows 7 laptops. While these developer-grade laptops are fantastic for development, they're not practical to take on the road while we meet with potential investors to raise our round A funding and/or meet with prospective clients. An HP Folio 13 would not only help us be more mobile (especially during the upcoming zombie apocalypse), but would also provide the ability to work on the road while using the rock solid operating system to which we are already accustomed.

    Well, starting in 2007, I started a small company in Seattle called "Jimmy's Bakery" and we didn't really start getting noticed until 2009. All of that attention wasn't good, however, and since then, we have been robbed twice. The second time was just over a month ago, and I have been searching the Internet for an offer like this, because we can't afford a new laptop. We are on the verge of going out of business, so this computer would really help us get back on track.

    I would love to have this computer so that my software could run more efficiently. I keep up with so many different thing from taxes to sales for my business that Windows XP isn't cutting all the upgrades for my Quickbooks program. This computer would be excellent!

    As a small business owner and mother of a 5 year old, I wear many hats. The economy in Michigan has been a challenge and the thing that gets put onto next year's wish list is updated/new equipment. With this smaller, faster laptop I would be able to take it with me to the playground, family functions, vacation as well as back and forth between work and home. This would mainly allow me to keep up on posting and following on all the forms of social media, keep updated financials with me for meetings with my bookeeper, and accountant. I would be able to load graphics and ad from home to meet with my media sales reps and graphic artists. This would be an items that would let me make the most of my time, get more done with less waste time therefore in have more time selling and planning while at work, which is what's it all about.
