With the popularity gained by social media and the importance they have, nowadays, in our lives, there are many new social platforms being created. From social networks aiming to fight the giants of the niche, to others that set goals way beyond what we are used to see, the examples are almost endless.
The topic of sports seems to be hot in the social media world – just recently I mentioned an app specifically aimed the extreme sports, and now I bring a new social network related to sports, this one more focused on the traditional sports: let’s meet GameOn.
This social platform for sports aims to be a place to gather friends around sports like football, baseball, baskteball, cricket, and soccer. It allows users to chat with friends while having access to features like real-time news, scores and even highlights. GameOn really is focused on groups, or huddles, as they are conveniently (and smartly) named inside the app.
That is the place to start – after gathering your friends in a huddle, news, scores, and highlights will be delivered in real-time, with the ability of choosing your favorite teams, in order to closely follow them. Inside GameOn, users can also chat with fans from anywhere in the world in public huddles.
A very interesting feature of this app is the ability to get insights from the GameOn athletes – a series of well-know pros, some still playing and others now retired. From the four times Super Bowl winner Joe Montana, to one of the current USWNT stars Sydney Leroux, GameOn has currently 12 athletes in its roster.
This app is raising a lot of interest, with users commenting things like “future of sports apps”, or “this app is an awesome idea and way to enjoy sports games even when watching the game alone”. If you are a fan of the aforementioned sports, then gather your friends and give GameOn a try – it is free to download and is available on iOS and Android.
