The St. Louis Business Journal today reported on yet another Washington University startup that has achieved greatness. Schoology comes to us from the Wash U entrepreneurship course led by Clifford Holekamp and has since raised $15 million by Intel Capital.
“We are in a golden age for education technology, and Schoology is at the forefront, driving innovation in the market,” says Friedman in the Business Journal article. “We continue to receive praise from our users, as well as industry accolades, for our work in building a unified platform that is helping to improve the learning experience for students of all ages. Intel is one of the largest names in global education, and their investment represents significant validation for the work we are doing.”
They’ll join the ranks of other greats that have come out of Wash U like Yurbuds and Sparo Labs. The funding will help Friedman support continued expansion into K-12 and higher education markets.
