CustomInk lets you create custom t-shirt designs and order them for your group or event. Cofounded in 2000, they now have over 800 employees, deliver about 20 million t-shirts per year, and are approaching $200 million in annual revenue.
As part of the deal, Leonsis will join CustomInk’s board.
This announcement follows two other ecommerce investments by Revolution Growth in July, in Optoro (DC) and Bigcommerce (Austin).
“We focus our energy and capital outside of Silicon Valley as we believe great companies can be built everywhere, and CustomInk is a perfect example of that, based here in greater Washington, DC,” says Davis.
