In September of last year, Y Combinator published its “Requests for Startups” – a list of startup ideas that the accelerator believes are the most worthy of funds and support. It was written a month prior to the application due date for its Winter 2015 class and was aimed at bringing in startups with innovative ideas in nascent sectors such as artificial intelligence and human augmentation, to disruptive technologies in more traditional sectors such as government and education. Funders and Founders recently turned this list into a simpler, more digestible format – an infographic summarizing each of Y Combinator’s 22 most fund-worthy startup ideas.

While Y Combinator notes that any ideas pursued on its list of Requests for Startups won’t guarantee a sport for any future, prospective YC applicants, the ideas on the list are things that are certainly trending. From things like robots to augmented reality tech, various ideas listed by YC were indeed largely prominent at this year’s International CES – evidence that there is a rapidly growing interest in these markets. Take a look at the other startup ideas Y Combinator considers worthy of funding in the infographic below or read the post from the YC site itself.
