Founded in 2014 by Billy McFarland, Magnises is a community specifically created for young professionals. It unlocks their city for them by delivering an exclusive experience covering nightlife, culture, sports, live events, and professional life. This community gives its users several benefits, like VIP status at clubs, tickets to sold out concerts, Tesla test drives on a closed airport runway, trips to private islands in the Bahamas, and exclusive virtual reality experiences with Samsung.
In the pursuit of more innovation, Magnises, which is also the fastest-growing benefits platform globally, has recently launched a new product, SportsPass. It is born thanks to a partnership with the Barclays Center, a multi-purpose indoor arena in New York City, and gives the members of Magnises an offering built to please sports fans.
A Season Pass for Barclays Center
SportsPass works a bit like a season pass for a particular venue, but members get to choose from different sports and teams. It provides access to different live sporting events happening in the Barclays Center, namely hockey, basketball and boxing. This includes Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders games, as well as Brooklyn Boxing and Brooklyn Hoops events.
Magnises founder and CEO, Billy McFarland, provided a more in-depth explanation on this new product:
“While the demand was always overwhelming, the feedback we kept hearing was that members wanted access to a wider variety of sports and far more control over the experience. That resonated with me.
I am a huge Islanders fan and season ticket holder, but I definitely want to go to other sporting events this year and try something completely new to me, like boxing. With SportsPass, we are able to deliver the type of refined experience our members expect, while providing a customizable ticket offering tailored to the needs of the emerging sports fan.”
SportsPass gives members the possibility of choosing different live sports experiences, from suites to lower bowl. It features 48 tickets to select events in Brooklyn, and members can get additional lower bowl tickets at exclusive prices. In addition to being close to the arena, other preferential treatment goodies include entry through the Calvin Klein VIP entrance as well as access to Billboard Lounge.
